As the Computer Education teacher at Winchester High School I taught the Web Design 1 & 2, Computer Animation 1 & 2, Sports Marketing and Mobile Application Development courses. Over the course of 5 years I redeveloped the web design curriculum to include more CSS based design strategies and an awareness for the changing resolution of screen sizes and the integration of a wide range of mobile devices. In my time there we updated the animation lab and also developed an integrated approach of aligning the McCall Middle school Computer Education curriculum with the courses at the high school.
My biggest contribution to this program was the development of one of the first Mobile Application Design courses in the country for high school students. This curriculum adopted a design, develop and test philosophy using a variety of platforms including Flash,Phonegap,Java for Android. The work in this course was chronicled in two major articles(listed below).
